Terms of Use

K4 Chess helps people find casual, drop-in chess games at venues and community spots in and around Zürich. The app is used anonymously — there is no account or login. By using K4 Chess you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms incorporate the standard end-user licence agreement (EULA) of the store you downloaded the app from — Apple's standard EULA, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, on the App Store, or the Google Play Terms of Service on Google Play. Where these Terms and those standard terms differ, the stricter rule applies.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit — including display names, check-in notes, meetups, community spots, and photos. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate other people.

We filter submissions automatically and review reported content. Any content reported as objectionable will be reviewed and, where it violates these Terms, removed within 24 hours, and the user who posted it may be ejected from the service.

• Report — every check-in, meetup, and community spot can be reported from within the app.
• Block — you can block any user; their content is immediately hidden from you.
• Remove — you can remove your own check-ins, meetups, and spots at any time.

You must be 18 years or older to use K4 Chess. The app is rated 18+ because it includes user-generated content.

We may remove content and suspend or permanently eject any user who violates these Terms, without notice.

To report inappropriate content or activity, or to request removal of content you submitted, contact us at check@schachklub-k4.ch. We respond to reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
